Here is fellow DJ and ace mate Wizzdom, sporting a fetching tee from Chemical Records (check out their online shop here http://www.chemical-records.co.uk/sc/servlet/landing?Shop=Clothing). If you didn't catch his radio show this year with Critic called "Rumble in the Jungle" then you missed out big style. I was lucky enough to win a twirl on his show! Wizzdom will be playing at Oh My God on the 29th May - do not miss him!

Art Student @ Oh My God
My definite favourite look of the night, Art Student brought a bit of understated quirkiness to the table. The ethnic skirt is from Primark (you can get it in two other colours too) and, wait for it, she made her top herself!! That's what I love more than anything - people getting creative. Her chunky necklace added a bit of colour and her tousled hair is perfectly fitting for a d&b night.
Horse Whisperer @ Oh My God
Would you believe that this lovely brunette thinks she needs to loose weight? No no no. I think she looks fabulous the way she is. She has a great toned figure from horse riding, so she told me. She wore her boyfriends old vest tucked into a skirt from Zara which was £26. Her cardi and shoes are from a charity shop. Again, I forgot her name, but if you are reading this please realise you are perfect the way you are!
Heather & Tori @ Oh My God
Manchester's own Mitchell & Webb @ Oh My God
Princess Leah @ Oh My God
I was like a magpie to Princess Leah's jazzy sneaks. £100 from Supra she told me, and don't they look swish. I got some serious trainer envy last night. Her white top and gold chains were both from H&M, and her watch was her #10 Crimbo pressie from her mum and is from River Island. Princess Leah embodied the perfect look for a heavy d&b night without going overboard.
Q. Where were all the bass heads last night???
A. They were all pounding the floor at Oh My God!!! Held in the bizarre location of Opus, the decision to move there from The Music Box was definitely a good one. The space is much bigger, the sound system is louder and there are more than 2 toilets! So many great DJ's stepped up during the night to deliver gratifyingly wicked sets. Mr Dick and Tedious Lemon spun some beats that meant as soon as we arrived, we were on the dance floor. Oh My God resident and top guy James G played an out of this world back to back set with the legendary Sappo. James finished their set with a remix of Skream's remix of La Roux's "In for the Kill", a song i've been playing on the blogs ipod.
When Ed Rush & Optical came on, I braced myself for some serious dancing. They throw down some bass lines that seem to shake my bones around. The whole dance floor seemed to fill up with similar lunatics to myself and we all seemed to be partaking in 'who can dance the weirdest' competition. After they finished, I really thought the music had peaked in its excellence. I was very wrong.
Out came Spor. The music was heavier, darker, faster and even better. My body was aching all over from dancing and my friend's knee caved in but we couldn't stop dancing. It would have been rude to stop. At about 2.43am, Spor dropped my favourite tune of his, "Aztec". Everyone went MENTAL. It was like dancing in one giant, hedonistic, sweaty orgasm. All the hardcore ravers and the misbehaviour's, the bass heads and the dubstep nuts were joined in a perfect union. It was the perfect end to an amazing night. For more pictures of the night, check out my album - http://www.flickr.com/photos/37855442@N05/sets/72157617372852227/ The next Oh My God is on the 29th May - go, go, GO!

Where to go tonight...

If you're stuck for something to do on this dreary Tuesday, then I strongly suggest heading down to Opus (yes, really) to get a melee of amazing acts for just £6! The Oh My God team recently decamped to Opus, giving them more space and funds to get even bigger acts than before. I'm very very VERY excited to see Spor. Check out his song "Aztec" on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UdPUNOBViV4), don your toughest shoes as you may wear them out dancing and head there tonight. See you there!

Bimpsatron @ Remedy
My last find of the night, my good friend Bimps, who had just arrived from bopping at Bop, wears a vest dress from Topshop, gold chain from Ebay and a flower headband she made herself. I love her slightly edgy twist with her hair, which makes her look more unusual and fresh.
The Brady Bunch @ Red Rum
The Brady Bunch caught my eye as we bade farewell to Red Rum. All of them seemed dedicated to one brand, proving that if you know what suits you, stick to it. (From Right to Left) all Primark, all Zara, all New Look and a mix of Luella and Vintage! As a group they all looked very fashion forward, especially with matching white pumps!
Batwoman & Robina @ Red Rum
Still outside, I bumped into these two lovelies. On the left, Batwoman wheres a colourful strapless top from Urban Outfitters, cardi from Primark. Robina goes for art-school chic, with a vintage denim jacket from Primark, graphic tee from Topshop and shorts from Zara.
80's chic @ Red Rum
80's chick went against the spectrum by rocking an outfit that would be out of place in 'Me Without You'. Her white dress is from Miss Selfridge and her shoes are from Matalan. Her gloves (unseen) are black lace and are vintage Claires Accessories! Her pattern tights and abundance of necklaces all originate from Primark.
Lilly & Topshop Gal @ Red Rum
On the left, we have Topshop Gal, wearing, yup you guessed it, all Topshop! I think she looks fab though, particularly loving the contrasting white lace cut-off vest with darker hues. Lilly wears a simple dress from American Apparel with a faded red shirt from Beyond Retro in London. I also think her hair looks so healthy, which adds even more to her whole look.
Barker @ Red Rum
One of the more laid back outfits of the evening, Barker pulls of effortless, understated cool by wearing his Dad's old tee, jumper from Burton and vintage cords from Topman. Love his cheesy grin too!

Charlies Angels #3 @ Red Rum
Last but not least, the final Charlies Angel, rocking a wicked vintage cardigan in just the right shade of beige. Her ripped vest was from some foreign designer who's name fell out of my head after too much rum! Her skirt is from American Apparel. I particularly loved the braid in her hair, added to the whole look!
Charlies Angels #2 @ Red Rum
Another of my fave outfits of the night, Charlies Angel #2 wouldn't look out of place at Coachella. Her top was made for her in Sri Lanka and is the epitome of perfect summer chic. Her necklace was a present from a friend and her shoes (unseen in this pic) were an ex-boyfriends. She found her watch "lying around at home", proof that you don't need to hit the shops every time you go out.
Charlies Angels #1 @ Red Rum
The original Charlies Angel wore a striking headscarf bought from the market, Eiffel Tower print vest from Topshop, grey marl cardi from Urban Outfitters and skirt from American Apparel. She looked fab!
Batting Lashes @ Red Rum
Market Man @ Red Rum
Market Man sporting a lovely black eye, vintage shoes from Adidas, blue jeans from Uniqlo, t-shirt and cardi from Spitalfields Market. Lovely!
Disney Girl @ Redrum
Red Rum Opening, Fallowfield
As all good explorers know, new hotspots need to be discovered before they get hijacked by the ordinary people. So in true form, armed with a few mates, I headed to a new bar that had opened up in the depths of Fallowfield.
Now don't get me wrong, there aren't many places I won't try, but when we arrived we nearly turned round and fucked off. Situated beneath a dodgy looking hotel called the Lansdowne. To get to the bar, you had to head to the basement down some very red stairs. Several pricks stood outside informed me I would only be able to go in if I left my dress at the door. Not good.
Thank god we didn't pay attention to them. Inside we discovered a fantastic warren of a bar, with cute bar tenders, hanging baskets and a couple of fairly decent murals adorning the walls. Drinks were cheap but good quality. Double rum and coke - £2.50, huge bottle of Budvar - £2.50 and Gordon's and tonic, yes, £2.50.
It got rammed by about 11pm but we were lucky enough to have snaffled a table. Crawling with a mix of fashionistas, pretentious raa's and the unwashed, the clientele had already conformed to the Fallowfield mould. I'd say it's a perfect bar for pre/after drinks after the surge has died down. Would not recommend going there for a dance, as the 3 DJ's couldn't beat match for shit.

Nurse Kelly
Here he is... Our first Mancloset follower!
Nurse Kelly wears a t-shirt from Topman, military jacket from Selfridges. His jeans are from a boutique in Ireland and his pumps are from a market in Spain.
I absolutly love his casual look, smartened up with a luxury jacket. Perfect for a meal with friends!
And so it begins...
And so it begins...
Mancloset is Manchester dark and beautiful fashion underbelly. Away from the brassy pages of blasé magazines with mundane celebrity fashion, we should look to each other for fashion inspiration. Walking down Market St the other day, I couldn't help but notice how eclectic and fabulous the people of this city are. It was a living, breathing fashion show.
So... I need REAL people to join with me. I am setting off on a journey to find people who's fashion blows your lid off. Kate Moss is so over, Agnes Dean has faded, its YOU that is the future of fashion.
Send me pics of you in your favourite outfit, along with the details of where you met your clothes. Your picture will then join the many of us already living it up in the Mancloset!
