Q. Where were all the bass heads last night???

A. They were all pounding the floor at Oh My God!!! Held in the bizarre location of Opus, the decision to move there from The Music Box was definitely a good one. The space is much bigger, the sound system is louder and there are more than 2 toilets! So many great DJ's stepped up during the night to deliver gratifyingly wicked sets. Mr Dick and Tedious Lemon spun some beats that meant as soon as we arrived, we were on the dance floor. Oh My God resident and top guy James G played an out of this world back to back set with the legendary Sappo. James finished their set with a remix of Skream's remix of La Roux's "In for the Kill", a song i've been playing on the blogs ipod.

When Ed Rush & Optical came on, I braced myself for some serious dancing. They throw down some bass lines that seem to shake my bones around. The whole dance floor seemed to fill up with similar lunatics to myself and we all seemed to be partaking in 'who can dance the weirdest' competition. After they finished, I really thought the music had peaked in its excellence. I was very wrong.
Out came Spor. The music was heavier, darker, faster and even better. My body was aching all over from dancing and my friend's knee caved in but we couldn't stop dancing. It would have been rude to stop. At about 2.43am, Spor dropped my favourite tune of his, "Aztec". Everyone went MENTAL. It was like dancing in one giant, hedonistic, sweaty orgasm. All the hardcore ravers and the misbehaviour's, the bass heads and the dubstep nuts were joined in a perfect union. It was the perfect end to an amazing night.
